In an effort to reduce the energy cost of my 400W bulb, I purchased this LED light for my hydro-garden.

At first, I was worried that they were not working as well, but it turned out I just needed to lower the lights closer to the plants. With my old 400W bulb I always had the light much higher to not scorch the plants, but these basically need to be right on top of the plants. Since lowering I have noticed the plants are more vibrant and these units seem to be doing an adequate job of replacing my old 400W bulb.

The nicest part is that I don't have to worry about all the heat as these generate very little heat and my energy costs are a fraction of what they used to be.

I will update again when I am ready to harvest and report back if I get as good of a harvest with these as I did with my old bulb. But for now, I am quite pleased.

I have been using this product for about a month. I am an avid orchid grower and this is wonderful for my low light orchids. I have noticed a difference in the growing speed and blooming of my orchids already.

I cannot wait to see if there is a huge difference in the electric bills as well!

I have not had any problems with bulbs blowing out. The other great thing is that they barely kick off and heat. So now it is easy to gage temperatures around my temperamental orchids.

I started with one LED lights, but when I saw how my hibiscus tree flowered and how the agave plants responded, I ordered a second and am now also growing comfrey, 13 pots of gerbera flowers, etc. The agave (boutin blue) are growing the broad leaves, as they do in California. All plants turn towards these lights and I am thrilled with the results.

Also, the lights are cool so my cat can sit in the window and not suffer any uncomfortable temperatures.

A big thanks to grow light LED for allowing us to grow and enjoy healthy plants--without all the hot bulbs and white lights we were never able to quite arrange for optimum growth before.
